Frequently Asked Questions
☕About Our Coffee
Where do your coffees come from? +
We carefully source our beans from trusted farms and cooperatives around the world.
Every coffee is chosen for its flavour, character, and quality — bringing the best global coffee right to our corner of Hampshire.
We only work with farms and cooperatives committed to the highest ethical and sustainability standards.
What makes Andover Bean Company different? +
We’re here to simplify great coffee. Instead of overwhelming you with endless options, we curate a collection that’s easy to enjoy, easy to brew, and full of flavour.
Based in Hampshire, we combine small-town care with big flavour, delivering coffee that feels personal, approachable, and reliably delicious
Are your coffees single-origin or blends? +
We offer a mix of both. Some of our coffees, like our Honduras House Blend, are carefully balanced for smooth, everyday drinking, while others highlight the unique flavour of a single origin.
Each is selected to give you a better brew at home.
Do you offer decaf coffee? +
Not yet, but we’re working on adding a decaf option to our collection soon.

🔧Brewing & Storage
Should I choose whole bean or ground coffee? +
If you own a grinder, whole bean is the best choice — it keeps fresher for longer and lets you grind to your preferred brew style.
If you’d like coffee that’s ready to brew straight away, go for our ground option.
What grind size do you use for ground coffee? +
We use a medium grind, which works perfectly for cafetières (French press), filter machines, and pour-over brewers.
How long will the coffee stay fresh? +
For the best flavour, enjoy your coffee within 4–6 weeks of opening. Store it in a cool, dry place in an airtight container.
How do I brew Andover Bean Company coffee for the best flavour? +
That depends on your style! Our coffees are versatile and designed to shine whether you brew with a cafetière, pour-over, or espresso machine.
Each bag includes flavour notes and recommendations to help you make the most of your brew.
